Program Manager – Peace Building Program   Reporting to: Country Director Line Management Responsibilities: None Matrix  Management: Project Team, Technical team and consultants Coordination: Inter-departmental coordination is required.     The Program Manager will ensure a smooth management and coordination of the Peace Building project implemented by Basmeh and Zeitooneh. The PM will work in close collaboration and coordination with HR, finance, operations and development departments to ensure a smooth implementation of the project.   The Programme Manager: Will act as a focal point for the project and among partners and with external stakeholders Will support and coordinate with the field operations team to ensure a smooth implementation of the activities throughout the project cycle. Responsible for the matrix management of the field operations team, technical managers and consultant/s as per the agreed implementation plan. Oversee the project activities in line with the approved implementation plans and ensure any deviations, changes, challenges and issues are addressed in close collaboration with the CD and the field operation teams. Responsible for the regular update of the implementation plans, developing/updating of contingency plans, advise the CD of the changing contexts and close monitoring of the security. Will represent the organization in external stakeholder meetings Will participate in technical meetings, notably in the peace building working groups/Cluster Will liaise with all internal and external counterparts of the project; Will coordinate the reporting process (as per the contract) and ensure high quality reports are produced on a timely manner   Qualifications: Masters degree in international development, conflict transformation or related field. Extensive experience of overseeing, supporting and monitoring of large and complex peace building or development programmes At least 3 years of management and coordination experience Experience in peacebuilding/conflict transformation concepts and familiarity with gender and conflict sensitive approaches Excellent working knowledge (spoken and written) of both English and Arabic Experience in delivering tailor made conflict sensitivity trainings to CBO/CSSO/and partners. Ability and willingness to undertake travel within the region
