Job Purpose
The holder of this position is responsible to support the Community Activists of the "Future together now"- project in their work with and their facilitation of the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of community-led initiatives to mitigate and reduce the stress and conflicts between the host community and refugees, with a focus on the areas specifications, culture and psychographics.

Major Activities
Strategic
Lobby/Advocate for a conflict transformation approach to community mobilizing within your organization and respective communities
Networking/Building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and other local resources for nonviolent conflict resolution within and between local host communities and Syrian refugee communities.
Support Activists in identifying key actors on the ground and in getting access to them
Ensure communication and cooperation between local communities and partner organizations, as well as between partner organizations and forumZFD
Ensure and uphold quality standards at all time, i.e. RPP
Foster team-building and organize ongoing team processes
Operational
As per the job purpose outlined above, the role will draw upon the following components:
Formation and Coordination of Local Mechanism
Support Community Activists in their day-to-day activities, such as meetings, action plans, analyses etc. in close coordination with forumZFD staff
Joint regular field visits with forumZFD staff to the selected villages/areas to monitor project progress and increase project visibility
Support coordination and communication between forumZFD staff and community activists
Ensure relevant stakeholder groups, e.g. host communities, refugees, moukhtars, municipalities, religious leaders, local NGOs, INGOs, etc. are kept informed of issues and progress
Support conflict sensitive planning and strategic project development (according to standards of forumZFD, e.g. RPP)
Monitor project progress and activists development on the personal and group level
Support project monitoring and evaluation including lessons learned on the program level
Support the institutionalization of procedures to form a local mechanism
Capacity Building
Attend the trainings cycle provided by forumZFD and in conjuncture with mentoring support from forumZFD, apply the new skills and learning to your work
Learning and Reflection
Regular debriefings and time for personal and collective reflection and evaluation, this may lead to adjustments in interventions / approaches
Support open spaces and a sustainable environment for learning and reflection
Documentation, Narrative and Financial Reporting
Document needs, conflicts, activities and interventions
Responsible for the project documentation according to forumZFD standards
Beneficiaries
Community Activists, local host communities and refugees who live in the identified locations, who have been affected by the Syrian Crises

Support the development of community-led initiatives address local needs and conflict issues

Up to date with all project documentation
Education & Experience
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the civil society sector with local communities, social work or humanitarian work
