Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Culinary Training Facilitator specialized in pastry. As a technical skills trainer, you will guide a cohort of trainees through an intensive, hands-on 10-session curriculum totaling 30 hours. Your goal is to build foundational pastry techniques, preparing trainees for employment in commercial kitchens, catering operations, or entrepreneurial food ventures.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Technical Delivery: Facilitate 10 practical, hands-on pastry sessions.
- Vocational Mentorship: Train participants in foundational pastry techniques.
- Assessment & Feedback: Monitor participant progress, offer constructive, real-time feedback on technique and presentation, and ensure adherence to professional culinary standards.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee the safe use of kitchen equipment during sessions and ensure participants maintain rigorous hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP principles) at all times.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a professional pastry chef, caterer, or culinary instructor with pastry expertise
- Training/Teaching Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience delivering vocational training, workshops, or mentoring kitchen staff.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills; ability to engage, motivate, and manage diverse groups of learners with varying initial skill levels.
- Language skills: Fluency in Arabic is required.
Expected Deliverables
1. Pre-Training Deliverables
The facilitator must submit the following materials for review and approval before the training begins:
- Training Calendar: A detailed schedule outlining all session titles, dates, and times.
- Curriculum Handout: A structured syllabus organized by session, explicitly detailing:
- Session topics and learning objectives.
- Key content, techniques to be covered, and main talking points.
- A comprehensive master ingredient list to facilitate procurement by the Bedayati Kitchen.
- Training Materials & Resources: Samples of recipes, training booklets, or instructional handouts intended for participant distribution.
- Assessment Tools: Pre- and post-training test questionnaires designed to evaluate the participants' initial skill levels, progress, and final competencies.
2. Post-Training Deliverables
The facilitator must submit a Final Training Report upon completion of the training, including:
- An analysis of pre- and post-training assessment results.
- Compiled participant feedback and evaluations.
- Key insights, lessons learned, and professional recommendations for future cohorts.
Compensation:
$65 per three-hour session for ten sessions (Total $650 all-inclusive package covering prep, delivery of 30 hour training, and reporting)
