Coordination Officer - Community Health Corps

Job Objective:

Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of specific health-related programs and report to the Chief Executive Officer at Community Health Corps.

Main Tasks:

  • Coordinate project planning and implementation of the activities within the organization, in coordination with the executive assistant. This includes developing a work plan along with project goals, indicators, and timelines, and ensuring project deliverables are met in compliance with the organization’s and donors’/funding agencies’ policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage the project budget in coordination with the Finance Officer to ensure that project expenses are within the approved budget.
  • Conduct project evaluations, in coordination with the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to assess the effectiveness of programs and projects. This includes qualitative and quantitative monitoring and evaluating project outcomes and indicators, analyzing data, overcoming potential barriers, and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including governmental entities, other national and international non-governmental organizations, and community leaders. This ensures the smooth implementation of projects and programs and builds strong partnerships.
  • Participate in organizational meetings, providing updates on project progress and highlighting any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans, narrative progress reports, financial expenses, and other relevant supporting documents.
  • Document the work of successful stories to establish a comprehensive picture of the project’s impact on the beneficiaries being served. This includes a variety of methods such as testimonials, case studies, photos, and others, as advised by the Social Media and Communications Officer.
  • Support fundraising activities for the organization, in collaboration with the Fundraising Officer. This includes identifying potential funding sources, preparing grant proposals, and managing donor relationships.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public health or social sciences is required. A master's degree may is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience preferably in a similar capacity with national or international NGOs in the region.
  • Experience in project cycle management, monitoring, and coordination.
  • Experience in budget monitoring and management.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and internet use.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values, is essential. Adaptability, flexibility, and a positive attitude are also highly valued.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
