The Beirut Urban Lab is a collaborative and interdisciplinary research space, which produces scholarship on urbanization in Lebanon and the region. Interested candidates in the position need to submit their CVs with a five-line description of their interest to Antonia Maria Bahna [ab154@aub.edu.lb] no later than March 31, 2022.
Start date: As soon as possible, Early April if possible.
Duration: End of December 2022
Responsibilities
- 4 days/week allocated for data collection through fieldwork and household surveys;
- 1 day/week allocated for data cleaning, discussions, and reporting to research coordinator on work plans and conditions
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.
Qualifications and skills:
Candidates should have experience in fieldwork surveying and data collection for research, and be proficient in both Arabic and English (written and spoken). Knowledge of GIS is a major plus. A degree in journalism, urban studies, sociology, anthropology, environmental sciences and similar fields is a plus.
