In response to the current national emergency and large-scale displacement, we are delivering essential food assistance to families and individuals in collective shelters. Our objective is to ensure that every meal provided reflects our commitment to quality, nutrition, and the dignity of those we serve.

 

Emergency Response Overview (Beirut)

In light of the ongoing situation in Lebanon and the significant influx of internally displaced persons into Beirut, Beit el Baraka is supporting emergency response operations across multiple collective shelters through the provision of daily meals.

 

Volunteer Role Summary

Beit el Baraka is engaging 30 Field Enumerator Volunteers to support ongoing emergency response operations.

Volunteers will be assigned to collective shelters across Beirut to support meal distribution activities. This is a field-based voluntary engagement, where individuals contribute their time and skills to ensure that food assistance is delivered efficiently, safely, and with dignity.

The Field Enumerator Volunteer acts as a support focal point on-site, helping monitor distribution processes, report issues, and ensure that operational standards are respected.

This role is a voluntary contribution and does not constitute employment.

 

Key Details

  • Location: Beirut – assigned collective shelters
  • Modality: Field-based (on-site)
  • Engagement Type: Volunteer role (non-employment arrangement)
  • Suggested availability: Approximately 4 hours per day, typically between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, based on lunch meal distribution time and subject to mutual coordination.
  • Duration: 2 months (flexible and subject to change)
  • Support: Daily transportation expense reimbursement (USD 7 per day of physical attendance)
  • Training: Mandatory technical, Code of Conduct and safeguarding training prior to participation

 

Key Responsibilities (Volunteer Support Activities)

  • Ensure proper receipt of meal deliveries in line with scheduled distribution times
  • Support the verification of the quantity, quality, and condition of meals upon arrival
  • Support the distribution of hot meals to beneficiaries in a safe, orderly, and respectful manner
  • Help ensure meals are distributed accurately and fairly to the intended beneficiaries
  • Ensure adherence to basic operational, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Report any delays, shortages, or operational issues to the Program team in a timely manner
  • Collect and relay feedback or complaints from beneficiaries
  • Prepare basic documentation and complete daily reporting requirements

  • Commitment to humanitarian values and dignity of beneficiaries
  • Previous experience in humanitarian or community work is an asset

 

Success Profile

The ideal volunteer is a responsible and compassionate individual who contributes to maintaining both operational efficiency and a dignified experience for beneficiaries. The volunteer role requires presence in the field, awareness of surroundings, and proactive communication of issues.

Any form of harassment, abuse, exploitation, or misconduct is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the assignment.

All volunteers are required to adhere to Beit el Baraka’s Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies. Mandatory training must be completed prior to participation.
