Project Manager

Main tasks of the Project Manager include:

• Lead the implementation of activities of a project to support local dialogues, regional exchange and prevention capacities of religious and social actors through conceptualization, planning and documentation
• Conceptualize and co-facilitate dialogue workshops with religious authorities, social figures and political stakeholders in Lebanon and the region
• Support identification of key experts and eminent personalities and liaise with relevant interlocutors in close cooperation with the project team
• Contribute to the planning and development of project activities
• Coordinate proposal and budget development, contribute to financial planning and ensure close coordination with Berlin-based colleagues (including HR and controlling)
• Event planning and management
• Support the publication of project resources through conceptual input, guidance to authors and consultants, editing support and - if required - translation
• Provide background research, context analysis and support project documentation and donor reporting
• Contribute to the proposal writing process
• Contribute to fundraising for follow-up or related projects

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in project management in the peacebuilding/dialogue/conflict transformation fields
• Masters degree in political science, peace studies or related fields
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent writing skills (please provide writing samples)
• Strong analytical skills
• Thorough knowledge of the Lebanese social and political context
• Proven work experience in the Arab region, preferably Lebanon
• Previous experience in the P/CVE field
• Experience, knowledge and interest in the Lebanese religious landscape
