Project Manager (M/f)

The Berghof Foundation has been working in the MENA region since 2008, starting with a National Dialogue Support Project in Lebanon. Since then our engagement has continuted to grow, with current and planned activties in Yemen, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Sudan. One of our focal areas is related to capacity building and process support to political transition processes, especially in the field of National Dialogues, multi-party consultations/negotiations and peace support structures. We are current currently looking for a    Project Manager (m/f)    (100%) for a period of one year (with possible extension) for our Middle East and North Africa Programme, Lebanon Project, Beirut    Main Tasks Support the Senior Project Manager in coordinating all project activities (preparing content-wise, accompanying meetings with relevant stakeholders, ensuring logistics planning) Ensure proper documentation of activities (e.g. workshop reports) and write minutes of meetings Background research and contribute to project publications and training materials Media monitoring and regular updates on political developments Maintain project website content-wise Perform additional tasks upon request of the Senior Project Manager Cooperate closely with BF MENA staff members and project partners    Qualifications A minimum of three years' work experience in project management in a related field (in international organisation, state agencies, etc.) BA/MA degree or equivalent in Islamic studies, political science, Sharia studies, law studies, conflict/development areas (or related fields) Excellent knowledge of Islamic movements and religious streams (in particular Sunnis) in Lebanon, and if possible in the region Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English Lebanese driving license Ability to work under pressure Experience in Word, Excel, Outlook Strong organisational and management skills Politically sensitive and empathetic to partners and target groups Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Background in conflict transformation is an asset     Application Procedure Please send us an updated curriculum vitae and a detailed statement about your skills, interests and references.
