Call for experts – Spark – Incubation Phase

About Berytech:

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

About Spark:

SPARK is a project funded by the European Commission. Its objective is to support the development of Ecosystem Players’ startup ecosystems, creating an environment conducive to innovation and scaling up. The project has a particular focus on green entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. 

Overview of the activity:

Activity 1: To deliver a 3-day boot camp for 20 experts that will be nominated by five Innovation Support Organizations using the Switchmed methodology, targeting green entrepreneurship. The main objective of this Bootcamp is to train coaches and technical staff on tools and methodologies to better support green startups in scaling their venture, working on their green business plan and impact, developing market strategies, and enabling partnerships.

Activity 2: To deliver a 3-day boot camp for 20 experts that will be nominated by five Innovation Support Organizations using the IES methodology, targeting Social entrepreneurship. The main objective of this Bootcamp is to train coaches and technical staff on tools and methodologies to better support social startups in scaling their venture, working on their Social business plan and impact, developing market strategies, and enabling partnerships.

• Design a Train of Trainers Bootcamp curriculum based on needs assessment shared by Berytech, to be delivered to 20 coaches and experts suggested by 5 different international support organizations.
• Draft the agenda of the 3-day bootcamp
• Deliver a green training program, following the tools and methodologies suggested by the Switchmed program, adding personal input and complementary suggestions to meet the desired outcome.
• Trainers are to include tools, templates and resources provided by the Switchmed program and complemented by the needed resources suggested by trainers, in coordination with Berytech team
• Trainers to include embrace toolkit methodology with the training
• Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the profile of the ISOs sharing ongoing feedback with entrepreneurs and followed by specific deliverables that will be reviewed by trainers for feedback

Deliverables:

The trainers are asked to share with Berytech a clear “Training curriculum, Agenda, session details, timeline, methodology, and tools.”

The consultant will be working on the scope of work while adding complimentary suggestions and personal input to achieve the desired outcomes based on the activities’ needs and roadmap
It may be suggested to complement the standard training modules with supporting activities suggested and delivered by Berytech.

Methodology:

1. The Methodology delivered is the Switchmed methodology which helps in creating an ecosystem for green entrepreneurs through the Switchers Support Program by working closely with several stakeholders. 
2. Embrace tool methodology ( to add description on the embrace toolkit methodology)

• Draft the agenda of the 3-day bootcamp.

• Trainers are to include tools, templates, and resources provided by the IES Methodology program and complemented by the needed resources suggested by trainers, in coordination with the Berytech team.
• Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the profile of the ISOs sharing ongoing feedback with entrepreneurs and followed by specific deliverables that will be reviewed by trainers for feedback

Methodology:

The Methodology delivered is IES methodology which helps in creating social startups in their growth journey and supports them in measuring their social impact.

The Budget should not exceed 5,700 Euros.

• Experienced in delivering similar trainings for the empowerment of stakeholders with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Demonstratable knowledge of the various fields related to green and social business model including but not limited to business model, eco-design, access to markets and finance, impact measurement.
• Experienced trainer who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to adjust the approach to the specific need of the client.

• Effective communicator with any audience in an organized, professional manner.
• Creative problem-solver with thorough attention to detail.
• Desire to deeply understand and empathize with the attendees
• Certified trainers according to Switched methodology
• Certified Trainers according to IES methodology
