Educational content expert-INNOVATION LABS NETWORK– GIL LABS Program

About Berytech: A leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

About the program: “The generation of innovation leaders/Gil” is a program by UNICEF designed to address the high unemployment rates among youth in Lebanon & their lack of access to the knowledge economy. Under this project, Berytech aims to Increase access of Lebanese and Non-Lebanese youth (17-25 years) to technical and vocational training and innovative skills building programs for improved professional readiness and employability.

The GIL Program seeks an expert in Jobs and Youth, to work with Berytech on assessing the opportunities that fit for the GIL youth in their respective governorates and beyond, including online work, and other platforms to be able to provide guidelines for the youth on where and how to continue their development and find jobs beyond the GIL Program and use the skillset that they built to grow.

TOT Document Objectives

• Give meaningful future for the youth, to help them cruise through the challenges, learn how to search for opportunities, through entrepreneurship support, Job identification, and opportunities in nearby cities.
• Provide the youth with access to jobs, help them identify online jobs through impact sourcing platforms
• Help Community Managers direct the youth in their next move and connections outside of their communities
• Build upon the youth entrepreneurship skills learned in the GiL program to open markets, and access additional support through incubators and bootcamps

TOT Methodology

• Set a strategy for the trainers to help out the trainees:
  • Identify the skills set (technical and soft) and how to develop them.
  • Highlight the potential work fields in Lebanon.
  • Match skill sets and work fields.

• Provide content for the following courses:
  • Digital Fabrication
  • Entrepreneurship for youth
  • Digital and media literacy
  • Social media marketing
  • Mobile application development     
  • Microwork
  • Techwood Training
  • Cisco coding

Deliverables
