Marketing Consultant– DAWERR Activity

Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

This Incubation Program is a program designed and managed by BERYTECH under the DAWERR Activity, a 5-year Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the goal to establish sustainable and replicable integrated solid waste diversion and valorization solutions in rural areas of Lebanon.

Under DAWERR program, BERYTECH will provide business and technical assistance and other needs to support 3 incubated startup teams in enhancing their prototype / developing their MVP and get them prepared to go to market.

Scope of work

The DAWERR Activity team seeks an expert (we are targeting independent consultants only) over a period of 1 month to deliver 2 x 1-1 sessions with each of the 3 startups (up to 90 minutes each), to provide tailored support, mainly:

· Finalize their competitive landscape and analysis.

· Identify the startup’s proper price positioning.

· Help startups set their early-stage marketing objectives.

· Set the startup’s go-to-market plan and timeline

· Map the right sales and marketing channels.

· Help entrepreneurs identify their and their team’s sales needs, strengths, and weaknesses.

Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the scope of the project and profile of the ventures

Expected Deliverables

Key Deliverables:

· Submit a report to the program management team after each session; covering progress, challenges faced, and recommendations provided to each startup

Qualifications

· At least 5 years of experience as a Marketing Consultant, Trainer or similar role, preferably with a startup or in a startup environment

· Knowledge and experience in innovative solutions tackling waste is highly desirable

· Demonstrates strong communications skills and professional credibility to influence entrepreneurs

· Expert bio, proven track records and experience in the required field

· Budget scope
