Product development & QA Consultant – Scaling-up Agri-Food Innovations (SAFI)

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

The Scaling Up Agri-Food Innovations (SAFI) project supports SMEs in the agri-food sector to scale up and accelerate their business to support import substitution and food security in Lebanon and facilitate export-readiness.

The SAFI project seeks a Product Development & QA consultant to assist SMEs in setting the correct procedures to optimize their production process and enhance the quality and consistency of their products. The engagement includes:

• Two field visits to the premises of each SME: one for initial assessment and recommendations and one for follow-up after the implementation of the recommendations.
• Up to three one-on-one online sessions with each SME for tailored guidance.
• One assessment and recommendations report for each SME following the first field visit, including but not limited to the required improvements in the workflow and equipment layout to optimize production, the quality assurance methods that need to be put in place, and any standard operating procedures that must be developed by the SME.

One follow-up report to the SAFI team on the progress of the SME after the second field visit.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in production and quality management. 
• Possess strong knowledge in areas related to the export readiness and global standards and regulations.
• Hands on experience managing the full training cycle.
• Exceptional platform delivery and facilitation skills
• Demonstrates strong communications skills and professional credibility to influence entrepreneurs and sales professionals.
