About Euromed Clusters Forward:
Euromed Clusters Forward is a 4-year project that aims at establishing and improving clusters legal policies, strengthening clusters capacity & regional cooperation, and strengthening regional value chains. Berytech is the implementing partner of Euromed Clusters Forward in Lebanon, that is funded by the European Union and coordinated by Anima Investment Network with 3 implementing partners and 9 affiliates from the Euromed region.
About the Academy:
Berytech is launching the EuroMed Clusters Forward Face-to-Face Academy| Cluster Elevate 2.0, a 3-day intensive capacity-building program designed to equip cluster managers and board members with the necessary knowledge, tools, and approaches to assess market feasibility and successfully expand their services and offerings to new markets.
This academy program features an average of 15 to 18 hours of expert-led training sessions, tailored interventions, and interactive activities designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among participating clusters. The Capacity Building Academy empowers cluster managers and senior staff by strengthening their capabilities in market assessment, internationalization strategy, and business model adaptation.
The goal is to enable clusters to make informed decisions about new market opportunities, develop actionable market-entry plans, and enhance their readiness to expand their services and offerings beyond their current geographic scope.
The training will be delivered in Beirut on October 13, 14 & 15, 2025 and conducted in English.
Coverage: Berytech covers the expertise expenses, travel, transportation, and accommodation in Beirut, Lebanon, for 4 nights (with a possibility for extension for one additional night).
Scope of work
Phase 1: Pre-Training - Preparations & Needs assessment – September 2025 (Online)
- Hold an alignment meeting with the Berytech team to clarify the scope, objectives, deliverables, and timeline of the assignment.
- Conduct virtual individual or group meetings with participating clusters to assess their level of readiness, goals, and specific needs related to market expansion.
- Design & adapt the training agenda and content based on the inputs gathered. Agenda shall include the topics: Market access & expansion, Strategic partnerships, Visibility & Marketing. Note: Over 3 days: Day 2 features field visits; Day 3 (afternoon & evening) includes B2B matchmaking, a major event, and a networking dinner with key Lebanese players.
- Submit a detailed training agenda to Berytech, including learning objectives, session descriptions, topics to be covered, methodologies, and any pre-training reading or tools.
Phase 2: During Training – In person in Lebanon.
- Co-Deliver with Berytech staff a 3-day in-person training program in Beirut, Lebanon (15 to 17 hours) with a possibility of some interventions in a bigger event (to be defined under a different scope).
- Ensure the training is interactive and practical, using real-world case studies, tools, and exercises tailored to the cluster context.
- Participate in any planned side events linked to the academy (networking dinner, open panels, roundtables, or public sessions).
- Work closely with each cluster during the training to co-develop market entry concepts in feasibility, sector relevance, and long-term positioning.
Phase 3: Reporting – 2 weeks following the academy (Online):
- Submit a Needs Assessment Report summarizing the findings from pre-training consultations with cluster representatives.
- Provide tailored action plans for each participating cluster based on the training and prior engagement.
- Conduct virtual follow-up meetings with clusters and/or Berytech (if needed) to support the implementation of the action plans and address additional queries.
- Provide a Post-Training Report that includes:
i) A summary of the training activities, tools used, and participant engagement.
ii) An assessment of participants’ knowledge and a recommendation for future steps to enhance the clusters' financial management capabilities.
iii) The report must be delivered in English.
expected deliverables
- Needs Assessment Report: Tailoring the training to the specific needs of the clusters.
- Training Materials and delivery: Includes presentations, tools, and templates used during the sessions.
- Post-Training Report: A comprehensive report evaluating the training, participant outcomes, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Cluster Action Plans for Market expansion.
- Following the selection of the consulting agency/ expert, the Berytech team will closely coordinate with them to develop the agenda.
- The expert will first conduct a needs assessment with the selected clusters, then develop the training material that shall include hands-on tools, relevant information & templates.
- The expert will then prepare the training materials and share with Berytech any printing and material requirements for a minimum of 1 week before the academy.
- The expert will deliver the training on 13, 14, 15 October 2025 and participate in the pre-organized side event and dinner on October 15.
- The expert will share the report within a timeline of 2 weeks following the academy.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in international market development, export promotion, or cluster development
- Proven experience designing and delivering professional training programs
- Strong knowledge of tools and methodologies for market research and feasibility analysis
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus
- Experience working with business clusters, SMEs, or innovation ecosystems is preferred
- Familiarity with the South-Med region and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural environments

The Application should include:
- Technical proposal describing the methodology, content of the academy and tools that will be used during the academy.
- Financial proposal describing the costs incurred in preparing and providing the academy. The financial proposal shall be quoted in EURO.
- Portfolio of the training events previously organized
- CVs of any individual(s) involved in the academy.
The shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Mid-September 2025.
Budget
Up to 5,000 EUR.
In addition, the travel, transportation and accommodation of the expert in Beirut, Lebanon are covered by Berytech.
