User interface (UI); User Experience (UX); Farmers; digital agriculture; precision agriculture application development - WE4F

• A brief description of the program:

WE4F is a joint international initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union (EU), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Netherlands, Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Announced at World Water Week 2018 and launched at Social Capital Markets 2019 signature event in San Francisco, California, WE4F aims to: 

• Increase food production along the value chain through a more sustainable and efficient usage of water and/or energy. 
• Increase income for base of the pyramid women and men in both rural and urban areas.  
• Sustainably scale innovators’ solutions to meet the challenges in the WE4F nexus. 
• Promote climate and environmental resilience and biodiversity through the sustainable, holistic management of natural resources and ecosystems. 

• A description of the opportunity:

The assignment focuses supporting PLATFARM (hereinafter referred to as the “Firm”) in enhancing their UX/UI design for website and platform analytics & dashboard. The project will guide refining the user experience and positioning of the Firm’s platform within MENA region. Enhancing the user experience through refining the platform’s UX/UI will also be achieved through developing a dedicated knowledge zone to enhance the platform’s users knowledge in both agriculture and new AgTech tools and technologies. It should also address aspects related to market penetration strategy, user engagement, competition, etc. The project should position the platform well into MENA region by delivering the platform analytics in meaningful and insightful way as well as increase the customers AgTech knowledge. The project outcome will be UI designs for analytics dashboard section, knowledge zone and website that will be handed over to software development team to implement.

• The duration of the offering:

The deadline to submit the Proposal is on March 29th, 2022 – questions can be submitted until March 23rd, 2022

• The Scope of Work is included in the RFP.
• The budget ceiling of the offering: $15,000
• Categories that can be eligible for this RFP: UX/UI experts, and Mobile/Web Developers; knowledge in iOS and Android, SaaS solutions, and Figma Web. An understanding of smallholder farmers is a plus.
