Website Development Expert- Nat Bio- Food System Challenge

Berytech is seeking to hire consultants that will be able to make the needed enhancements to the company website to include awareness of the wheat variety used in Nat Bio bread and to incorporate a section for recipes as per the scope of the interventions mentioned below. Nat Bio is a company that produces and distributes organic Lebanese bread made of ancient wheat (Einkorn).

Scope of work and Deliverables

The Consultant is expected to fulfill the following in addition to any other task required:

  1. Website Assessment:
    • Conduct an in-depth assessment of the existing website to identify areas for enhancement and improvement.
    • Evaluate the current website structure, design, and functionality.
  2. Wheat Variety Awareness Integration:
    • Integrate content on the website to create awareness about the wheat variety used by NatBio in their products.
    • Provide information about the benefits and unique features of the wheat variety to educate and engage website visitors.
  3. Recipe Inclusion:
    • Incorporate a dedicated section on the website to showcase recipes using NatBio's products.
    • Provide recipes that highlight the versatility and quality of the products, encouraging visitors to try them.
  4. Website Design and Layout:
    • Propose design enhancements to improve the overall aesthetics and user experience of the website.
    • Ensure that the website layout is user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing.
  5. Content Development:
    • Create compelling and informative content related to the wheat variety and recipes to be included on the website.
    • Ensure that the content is well-structured, SEO-friendly, and aligned with NatBio's brand identity.
  6. Functionality Testing:
    • Conduct thorough testing of the enhanced website to ensure that all features, links, and interactive elements are working properly.
    • Address any issues or bugs that may arise during testing.

Deliverables:

  1. Website Enhancement Proposal:
    • A detailed proposal outlining the planned enhancements for the website, including integration of wheat variety awareness and recipe inclusion.
  2. Wheat Variety Content:
    • Engaging and informative content related to the wheat variety used by NatBio, highlighting its characteristics and benefits.
  3. Recipe Showcase:
    • A section on the website featuring a collection of recipes using NatBio's products, complete with instructions and visuals.
  4. Website Design Enhancements:
    • Improved website design and layout, incorporating a cohesive and visually appealing design.
  5. Content Implementation:
    • Integration of the wheat variety content and recipe showcase into the website, ensuring seamless navigation and presentation.
  6. Functionality Testing Report:
    • A report documenting the results of the website functionality testing, including any issues resolved during testing.

The consultant will provide these deliverables within the specified intervention period after working closely with NatBio to enhance their website and showcase the wheat variety awareness and recipes effectively.

As part of the program’s Monitoring and Evaluation (ME&L) processes, the consultant is required to:

  • Deliver a briefing report to the program’s team.
  • Attending check-ins short meetings, if needed and required by the program’s team
  • Attending MEL induction meeting before the beginning of the session if requested by the program’s team
  • Conducting pre-post assessment, feedback and attendance as requested by the program team

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MSc Degree in Web Design, Web Development, User Experience (UX) Design, Digital Marketing, and any other relevant field.  
  • At least 15 years of experience in similar projects.
  • Excellent communications and report writing skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic

How to Apply

The selected Consultant is expected to start his/her activities at the soonest after selection; the exact timeline and effective working days are to be set based on both the company’s and the Consultant’s availability not exceeding the end of November 2023. The total budget allocated for the intervention is within the range of USD 300/man-day.

Candidates should submit the following documents:

  • Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in section: “Scope of Work, Outputs, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
  • Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as annex) along with project references on the topic.
  • Financial Proposal describing the expected renumeration and the proposed timeline and Days of intervention.

General Conditions: This is a Request for Proposal only. Issuance of this RFQ does not in any way obligate Berytech, the Food System Challenge Project, or WFP to make an award or pay for costs incurred by potential offerors in the preparation and submission of an offer.
