The post holder will work closely with the Deputy Director, within the Lebanon Projects Team of 7 staff , and with the Arts UK Advisors and the Arts Regional Large Scale Programme Managers, with the aim of:
- reinforcing the positioning of the UK as leader in Creativity and Innovation.
- building partnerships with leading cultural organisations, as well as artists and practitioners in the Arts sector.
Project Management. Manage arts-related projects:
- Activities, budgets, income generation targets, and beneficiaries/ audiences to be addressed in the projects are agreed annually with Director, Deputy Director, Communication Manager and Projects team, and where necessary with MENA Regional Project Managers and the UK.
- Impact-oriented results are to be achieved.
- Projects are timely delivered within budget to agreed quality standards. Income generation targets are met through resource mobilization and proposal writing.
- Project expenditure, income, audiences and quality indicators are met and regularly monitored throughout the year, as well as reporting to Deputy Director on key milestones and likely emerging risks.
- Monitoring and evaluation are carried out to agreed standards and methodology.
- Finance duties are carried in accordance with corporate standards
Stakeholder management. Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with Ministries (i.e. Culture, Education), heads of arts and cultural organisations including organisations working on entrepreneurship, incubators, cultural leaders and creative entrepreneurs, and civil society.
The post holder shall work as part of a team. S/he is expected to:
- Liaise with Deputy on project design, deliverables, achievements and risks (including budget and audience reach monitoring);
- Coordinate with other project managers within the team;
- Liaise with projects assistants for support on logistics and scorecard;
- Liaise with the local Finance team to ensure finance standards are met;
- Work closely with Marketing and Communication manager to secure appropriate British Council branding, media coverage, outreach and audience reach out figures;
- Provide 10% of his/her time to support the Regional Arts Manager.
