Protection Lawyer -

Position Title:

Protection Lawyer – Business and Property Legal Services

Location:

Tripoli, Lebanon (with occasional travel as needed)

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Advisory and Business Support

Provide legal guidance and technical support to individuals and MSMEs on business registration, licensing, and regulatory compliance.

Assist with drafting and reviewing bylaws, internal regulations, and governance structures for businesses and cooperatives.

Offer legal counseling on the rights and obligations of entrepreneurs under Lebanese commercial law.

2. Contractual Law and Obligations

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including partnership agreements, service agreements, and supplier contracts.

Educate clients on key contractual terms, dispute resolution clauses, and liability limitations.

Advise on breach of contract issues and represent clients in mediation or pre-litigation processes where applicable.

3. Property and Leasing Matters

Provide legal advice on property-related disputes, commercial leasing, tenancy rights, and obligations.

Draft and review lease agreements to ensure legal clarity and fair terms.

Support clients in resolving disputes related to ownership claims, rent, eviction, or damages.

4. Capacity Building and Legal Awareness

Develop and conduct awareness sessions or workshops on legal topics relevant to startups and MSMEs.

Produce easy-to-understand legal guides and templates tailored to the business community.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Licensed lawyer registered with the Beirut or Tripoli Bar Association.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and property law.

Demonstrated experience working with entrepreneurs, MSMEs, or development projects is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining complex legal matters to non-lawyers.

Fluency in Arabic and working proficiency in English (French is a plus).
