Study sources of information, tracking tools, and individual program information needs
Work with the M&E to develop and maintain a user-friendly interface for the database;
Develop, test and validate a database system that will act as an online internal reporting system
Gather all relevant data currently located in different databases/software programs and ensure accurate inputting of data archive from various sources into the database;
The DMO is in charge of managing the beneficiary database of CARE International in Lebanon for all emergency and recovery interventions. S/he will ensure that database integrity is maintained in line with data management protocols and reporting requirements.
Develop training package for CARE staff on the use of the database;
Develop and maintain documentation database/design documentation and operating manual on use of the database and mobile survey tools
Continuous mapping of current interventions achievements and sector actors per region
Create databank of needs assessments and available secondary relevant data
Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the work.
The DMO will be the primary staff responsible for consistent and timely entry of data. S/he will establish data entry workload according to work plans and request and train additional data entry clerks as needed. S/he will supervise data entry by clerks and review data quality. S/he will be responsible for all database updates upon completion of activities
The DMO will coordinate data exchange with relevant agencies and peers upon validation of MEAL Manager. S/he will responsible for facilitating access to data for other CARE units while ensuring full application of relevant policies and procedures concerning data integrity, data confidentiality and data access.
CARE International in Lebanon maintains a functional and coherent database of all beneficiaries of the Syrian refugee Assistance Program and program achievements
Database from assessments maintained with high data integrity
Data access protocols pertaining to confidentiality policies consistently applied
Accurate English/Arabic, Arabic/English translation of documents when needed
Mobile data collection tools and configuration
Training on mobile data collection in country and regio
Experience with an NGO desired.
Good understanding of humanitarian principles and humanitarian processes.
Experience and ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts in a culturally appropriate manner; and capacity to make accurate self-assessment particularly in high stress and high security context
Data management and data analysis, significant experience in understanding the analysis of data and producing reports
Ability to design the structure of the database and design appropriate interfaces for data entry and ensure data quality and securityMS Office - including Access proficiency or similar, special knowledge in data management, database design. Experience in mapping software (ArcGIS, Google Earth…)
Working knowledge with MS Visual Basic & SQL
