Internship - Graphic Designer

CARE International has been actively programming in Lebanon since April 2013 working with host communities and refugee populations as a result of the Syrian crisis. Currently, CARE International in Lebanon operates from two offices located in Beirut and Tripoli with programs also implemented in the South of the country. All projects focus on ensuring women and girls have a voice in their own development and that they and their families have access to basic services. Our portfolio of programs encompasses strengthening economic opportunities, WASH, shelter and protection working with and through local partners.

CARE Lebanon (CIL) is seeking an intern to work on an occasional basis with its Lebanon Country Office from 4-6 months. Working with a small team of dedicated professionals, this paid internship will assist the project in delivering a mix of communication needs for the organization.

This may be in the form of video, artwork adaptation of communication materials for stickers, posters, banners etc. and photographs and assistance with organizing some project events if needed.

The intern is expected to work closely with the Country Director and Deputy Director for Program and those delegated by them.

Essential Profile of the service provider:

The intern should have the following essential skills and knowledge:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Media
• The ability to synthesize information and succinctly market what CARE International in Lebanon does for different audiences
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to communicate complex subject matter (in a written and oral form) into accessible and simple visual guidance that is accessible to audience where possible
• Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring effective consultation and engagement is achieved
• Fluency (written and oral) in English. Arabic an asset
