CARE International in Lebanon (CiL) is part of a regional response to the Syrian Crisis to meet the immediate and most urgent needs of those who have fled Syria and provide support to local vulnerable host populations. Working with partners in WASH, Shelter, Protection, Livelihoods and economic opportunities in the North, South, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon Governorates CARE has a special emphasis on working with women and girls.
CARE is implementing a capacity building and livelihood community-based agriculture project that seeks to address critical capacity gaps along targeted value chains at both the individual, communal and institutional levels This position is responsible for the outreach, implementation, follow up, and quality maintenance for the Agricultural Training activities, VT, OJT, Apprenticeships, and GMP according to donor’s request with the support of the team.

Education & Certification:
BS in Business, IT, Engineering (completed or ongoing), or related majors
Minimum Education Level:
Vocational Degree, Bachelor degree, (completed or ongoing), or equivalent
Proven Experience:
• At least 6 months’ experience working with the private sector, an INGO, UN, local organizations and/or donor community in the domain of Livelihoods.
• Familiarity with data collection and analysis
IT / Software / Technical Skills:
Familiarity with MS Office software, such as Excel

Detailed Responsibilities & Task
Procurement Intern
- Sourcing new suppliers through site visits and online search
- Updating the procurement trackers an following it up with the procurement department;
- Collecting information from the filed about equipment specifications and descriptions;
- Writing BoQs and Purchase requests.
- Assist on photocopying, scanning & achieving procurement files.
- Assist in reception of goods that are being delivered (cross count/receive items).
- Work closely with procurement team members by providing the necessary support as deemed necessary.
- Attend meetings and draft minutes
- Engage in filing and archiving activities when needed
- Assist in gathering of monitoring data for project report
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to CARE and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
