CARE International in Lebanon (CiL) is part of a regional response to the Syrian Crisis to meet the immediate and most urgent needs of those who have fled Syria and provide support to local vulnerable host populations. CARE’s programs are also designed to meet longer term needs. Working with partners in WASH, Shelter, Protection, Livelihoods and economic opportunities in the North, South, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon Governorates CARE has a special emphasis on working with women and girls.

CARE is implementing a capacity building and livelihood community-based agriculture project that seeks to address critical capacity gaps along targeted value chains at both the individual, communal and institutional levels This position is responsible for the outreach, implementation, follow up, and quality maintenance for the Agricultural Training activities, VT, OJT, Apprenticeships, and GMP according to donor’s request with the support of the team.

Education & Certification:

BS in business, social sciences, or related majors

Minimum Education Level:

Vocational Degree, Bachelor degree, or equivalent

Proven Experience:

• At least 6 months’ experience working with an INGO, UN, local organizations and/or donor community in the domain of Livelihoods.

• Familiarity with data collection and analysis

• Having experience in the training and educational field

IT / Software / Technical Skills:

Familiarity with MS Office software, such as Excel

Detailed Responsibilities & Tasks

Project Intern

  • Prepare and conduct and support training sessions for participants in North, Mount, and South Lebanon.
  • Outreach & follow up with relevant actors such as Youth Committees, Universities, and vocational schools, NGOs/ community focal points about the current project.
  • Conduct daily field monitoring visits to provide support when needed to ensure quality implementation in all areas (North Lebanon, Mount Lebanon, and South Lebanon).
  • Identify hosting entities who are willing to take on apprentices and follow up on the matching process as a whole (filling the application, matching them with a suitable intern, legal)
  • Organization of the training sessions (room preparation, transportation, refreshments, etc.)
  • Support the staff in data entering and preparing the processed data.
  • Translate documents when necessary.
  • Assist in organizing, preparing and running meetings, workshops and conferences
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes
  • Engage in filing and archiving activities when needed
  • Assist in gathering of monitoring data for project reports
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to CARE and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
  • Any other tasks assigned.
