Project Management Professional Course

CIL is looking for a Consultant/Firm/University that can provide official Project Management Professional (PMP) certification course for CIL current and potential PMs, the details of the course are given in the ToR.

Overview

Amongst CARE International’s key imperatives in our mission is putting people it serves first through implementing cutting edge programming in areas it operates. CARE Lebanon has scaled up rapidly over the past few years and today it has solid annual budget with roughly 140 team members. Currently, CARE International presence is consolidated throughout the country working with multiple stakeholders. The main program sectors that CARE Lebanon is working in are; Protection, Gender, Economic Empowerment and Shelter. The interventions are implemented via local organizations. The CARE mission in Lebanon responds to multiple crisis: socio-economic crisis, effects of Beirut Explosion, Syria Response and COVID 19.   

The middle management team are relatively new as a team; and they have to manage existing and new interventions. Thus the project management skills are needed more than ever in the current Lebanon context. Thus, in line with this CIL is looking to contract Project Management professional consultant that would provide Project Management professional Course to the existing and potential Project Managers (PMs) that would help PMs to properly plan, implement projects.

Overall Objective

To strengthen the project management knowledge and capacities of the CIL’s Project Managers

Specific Objectives:

After completing this course, participants should be able to:

• Know in details the project Management knowledge areas
• Know in details the project management process
• Know project reporting

The course is expected to cover the following topics:

1. ​Project management overview and context
2. Project management knowledge areas:

• Project integration management
• Project scope management
• Project time management, Project cost management
• Project quality management
• Project human resource management
• Project communication management
• Project stakeholder management
• Project risk management
• Project procurement management
• Professional and social responsibility

3. Project management process:

• Forming a management team
• The role of a project manager PM
• Initiation of a project
• Life cycle of a project
• The key factors, Scope, Time, and Cost
• Setting a baseline
• Monitoring a project
• Closing out a project
• Conflicts in a management team

4. Project Reporting

Deliverables & Timeline:

1- The consultant to meet with the focal point to share course curriculum and completion timelines.

Timeline: To be agreed

2- Provide the proposed training as per the submitted and approved proposal. The training sessions should include blended programs and interactive training methods, role playing, practical activities, and business games. The course provide should provide official certification for all participants.

Timeline: To be agreed base on the proposal

3- Presentation to HR and SMT after completion of the Course and provide recommendations and provide a PMP manual

Timeline: At the end of the course

Consultant Profile

• At least   above 10  years of relevant experience, especially at NGOs, academic organizations, standard-setting bodies, public agencies focused on Project Management training delivery and certifications.
• Master’s degree in one or several of the following areas: PMP, Project management, PMP and certified

Competencies

• Extensive experience interacting with and relating to gender professionals and international stakeholders at senior level.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal relationships and networks.
• Ability to provide professional certification for PMP
