Job Summary:
The main objective of this assignment is to provide Psychological support for the local staff in Yemen either in person or remotely.
- Provide Psychological intervention in emergencies when one or more personnel are exposed to traumatic conditions and critical situations such as accidents.
- Provide emotional and psychosocial support service to all employees of the organization and to the various Area Offices on regular basis, directly and indirectly.
- Conducting training courses to learn basic skills to address the psychological and social pressures and trauma as needed by the staff
- Provide counseling and psychotherapy services for staff as required.
- Conduct assessments for the psychical state through periodic test and diagnoses (tests and psychological measures) to check on the availability of the staff wellbeing.
- Provide telephone-counseling services through the dedicated channel (hotline service for counseling and psychological support). or any other means, according to the prevailing circumstances
- Holding group counseling sessions on the awareness programs and problems with collective dimensions.
- Providing demand- based on psychological support service or based on plans provided by the concerned bodies.
- Provide regular reports after each activity.
- Any other tasks assigned to the consultant and required by the operational environment
Required:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar post.
- Experience in having implemented psychosocial support.
- Familiar with INGOs work environment.
- Training skills, ability to conduct trainings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills in word, excel, PowerPoint.
- Good Oral and written Language skills in English and Arabic (Arabic is must)
