TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Study and evaluate project proposals from an Architectural/Civil engineering aspect.
-Elaborate a feasibility study and preliminary design fulfilling local and international Good Engineering Practices in accordance with USAID regulations.
-Submit a detailed execution file including detailed drawings, technical specifications and BOQs… in compliance with local and international Good Engineering Practices in accordance with USAID regulations.
-Prepare a sound and complete tender technical file for bid opening.
-Evaluate tender documents and give technical recommendations for the selection of the most appropriate contractor/s.
-Elaborate a Quality Control Plan and a detailed workplan for the projects at hand.
-Assist contractors on all architectural/civil engineering components.
-Conduct site visits and supervise implementation of site works.
-Analyze, identify and resolve all technical issues for the projects at hand.
-Prepare regular reports for all site works executed by the contractors including proper technical evaluation.
-Document field activities and site visits and perform regular inspection to check progress of all projects.
-Summarize, evaluate and update on a regular basis BALADI Team in accordance with the established planning schedules.
-Design review and assessment including: Execution Drawings, BOQs, Technical specifications, calculation notes.
-Update and finalization of the drawings and BOQs as built with detailed technical specifications including all needed technical corrections to fulfil Engineering National Standards.
-Elaboration of a detailed technical report including the technical assessment results with clear technical recommendations to fulfill Engineering National Standards.
-Elaboration of compliance sheets including clear technical justifications for inspections findings and observations.
-Set a clear action plan to complete all technical actions / corrections needed and recommendations.
-Close monitoring and follow ups with the contractors to properly execute the remaining works and corrections to be done for proper project completion.
-Coordinate with the project team on various levels.
-Any other tasks related to Architectural/Civil engineering services assigned by Baladi Team.
