Center Coordinator - Majdel Anjar

Summary

The Center Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Field/project coordinator in the implementation, and follow-up on the program, according to the strategy, proposal and plans in her/his center.

Major Duties and Responsabilities

• Implement delegated portfolio of projects (activities) according to strategy, proposal and plan, as delegated by project coordinator and in collaboration with field coordinator, PSS and Case management team.

• Facilitate and follow-up on community and service center activities.

• Perform specific administrative operational/control tasks for project/program activities.

• Organize and allocate tasks and work processes for staff in the center.

• Supervise and follow-up staff performance in the center.

• Develop periodic activity/project reports and other reporting as required.

• Issue documents and reports for clearance by the project/Field coordinator.

• Ensure proper data processing and filing of all project documents.

• Assist in and facilitate donors visits to the center.

• Handle the payments related to activities and send required invoices and receipts to the Field accountant for cash management.

• Coordinate with the procurement/logistics departments for the office supplies, purchase requests.

• Handle the payments related to center expenses (Electricity, water etc...).

• Manage Petit cash (prepare, record and maintain all Petit Cash disbursement vouchers).

• Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures.

• Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.

• Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls.

• Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.

Team Management

• Provide on-going leadership and support to staff.

• Conduct timely performance evaluations and staff development.

• Recommend disciplinary action as needed following established policy.

• Control knowledge of procedures and ensure their strict implementation.

• Give clear responsibilities to the team.

• Provide assistance and organize good communication with the team.

• Organize and facilitates meetings as needed.

• Ensure the department staff is informed of the policy changes.

• Organize and maintain departmental communication system that encourages staff participation.

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Social Work.

• Communication, writing and Active Listening

• Language skills: English and Arabic.

• Computer Literacy: MS-Word / MS-Excel – Advanced level.

• Strong organizational skills, initiative, ability to prioritize work.

• Keep all documents & project details confidential.

• Complex Problem Solving. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

• Commitment to human rights and gender equality.

• Ability to work under stress.

Related Work Experience

• 2 to 3 years of experience preferably in management/administration.

• Experience in an administrative coordination capacity Experience working with migrants/refugees and other groups.

• Ability to relate and connect with people of different cultural, ethnic, and social economic backgrounds and a passion for helping others.
