Clinical Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Clinical Supervisor provide clinical supervision to Caritas Lebanon psychologists, in different Primary Healthcare Centers.

Experience

At least 10 years as a psychotherapist and 2 years of supervision.

General Skills

      Required

• Trained on and able to provide Clinical Supervision on evidence-based psychotherapies.
• Trained and able to provide Clinical Supervision on Psycho-analytic Based Approaches is a Plus.
• Skilled in Mental health in complex emergencies (IASC guidelines, Psychological First Aid, MH GAP, Crisis Management Protocols, Clinical Management of Suicidal Risk in MH service users…)
• Familiar with CP and GBV guiding principles of interventions
• Specialized in at least one evidence-based approach (e.g., CBT, Trauma Focused-CBT, IPT, EMDR).

     Skilled or willing to build capacity and knowledge in:

• Developing family-centered, goal and strength focused, recovery-oriented care plan
• Biopsychosocial model in mental health
• Community-based approach in mental health
• Human rights-based approach in mental health
• Evidence-based approach in mental health (e.g., IPT, CBT, TF, CBT, EMDR)
• Knowledge about the predictable stresses of humanitarian aid work and the policies and practices needed to mitigate them

Competencies

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Interviewing skills
• Ability to develop rapport with the staff
• Excellent communication, problem solving, Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, Patience, Trustworthiness, Empathy, Analytical skills, Critical thinking 
• Aware of Cultural sensitivity

Computer Skills

• Basic Microsoft office and internet use

Language

• Fluency in Arabic and in English, French is a plus

Deliverables

Employment Duration: October to December 2021, subject to renewal based on performance level and availability of funds.

• Provide Clinical supervision in 10 Primary healthcare centers all across Lebanon: Mount-Lebanon, Zahle, South and North. 2 hours of supervision will be conducted on a monthly basis with each psychologist (6-8).
• Provide on a regular basis a Monthly Supervision Report to the MH coordinator
• Provide each 3 months a Summary Report on the general technical challenges and the recommendations to be taken into consideration.
