Background and Justification
Caritas Lebanon (CL) is in need of a clinical supervisor who is familiar with mental health, psychomotor and speech therapy service provision in a humanitarian context and working with vulnerable communities from diverse populations.

The contracted professional, in coordination with the Health Department, will provide clinical supervision to psychologists, speech and psycho motor therapists in order to strengthen the quality of services provided at CL centers, and ensure the therapists wellbeing and professional development.
Scope of Work and Objectives.
Under the direction of the Health Department, the contracted individual will:
- Provide clinical supervision to CL psychologists, speech and psychomotor therapists, in 4 different Primary healthcare centers. Two visits per center will be conducted between May and September
- Explore counter-transference faced by CL, psychologists, speech and psychomotor therapists
- Ensure that an efficient collaboration is undertaken among the multidisciplinary team (nurse, psychiatrist, psychologist, speech and psychomotor therapists)
- Contribute to identifying self-care needs of CL psychologists and psychomotor and speech therapists
- Contribute to diagnoses and treatment planning for CL beneficiaries receiving mental health services
- Contribute to the decision making process of ethical dilemmas arising during supervision
- Coordinate with the head of health department and Mental Health Unit Team Leader for any technical issues with CL psychologists and psychomotor and speech therapists
Work relationships: The contracted individual shall work closely with CL psychologists, psychomotor and speech therapists, Mental Health Coordinator and Head of Health Department.
Deliverables
July - December
- Provide supervision in Reyfoun (2 Centers), Dahr El Ein, Zahle and Sed EL Bauchrieh Primary healthcare centers. 3 hours of supervision will be conducted in each center, during each visit (2 visits in total by center).
- Report any challenges and emergencies to the Head of Health Department
Reporting
- A report will be presented after each supervision session, including a short description along with structured recommendations
A final report including the objective of the mission, the methodological approach as well as the recommendations
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
- Minimum qualification of a master’s degree or equivalent combination of higher education and 3 years’ relevant work experience in the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Sector
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Lebanon
- Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly synthesize and present findings make recommendations and to prepare well-written reports in a timely manner
- Proven familiarity with the work of Caritas Lebanon and other humanitarian organizations
- Excellent knowledge of English, Arabic, and French is required
