CP Officer - Sin El Fil

JOB SUMMARY

The CP Officer is responsible for the technical supervision and coordination of all cash-related activities including case management for Child cases. S/he will ensure that training and capacity building needs of CP case workers are addressed in a timely manner and that the protection services and activities meet quality standards in the sector. The CP Officer supervises the case management supervisors.

DUTIES

• Ensure the implementation of the internal and National child protection SOP’s, guidelines, referral and coordination mechanisms for assistance to persons of concern

• Monitor the provision of protection cash assistance programs and review the reporting steps

• Support in the design and implementation of a service mapping in the area

• Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and take proactive steps to remain informed about the available services

• Provide Capacity Building and Case Management trainings for the CP case workers to ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards for national protection group prevention and response

• Prepare a workplan for the team in collaboration with the case management supervisors

• Represent CL in meetings and Working Groups (CPWG, etc.…) and coordinate with other NGOs in the area for cooperation and collaboration

• Supervise if the case management supervision tools are being utilized and filled correctly by the case management supervisors and guide the case management supervisors when needed

• Undertake spot check field visits to provide technical guidance and supervision as well as regularly monitoring of the progress of the protection case management /Cash activities

• Submit quality reports as scheduled including but not limited to monthly, quarterly and annual reports

• Conduct audit on case management files twice per year

• Conduct and attend regular case management meetings and case conference for complex cases

• Final Review of BIA and BID

• Review and analyze projects’ data to identify child protection trends, reporting, referral and response

• Represent CL in the working groups and other task forces when needed

SKILLS

• Ability to work well in a team, under pressure and in response to changing needs

• Demonstrated strong technical knowledge in general protection (i.e. protection monitoring, case management, psychosocial support activities)

• Microsoft office – all applications

ACADEMIC EDUCATION

• A university degree in social work, psychology, counselling, international human rights law, international relations, political science is required

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant professional experience in the humanitarian protection sector (of which at least 2 years in a supervisory role)

• Very good understanding of protection, refugees, migrants’ rights, and international humanitarian principles
