ECL Officer - Sin El Fil

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

 

The ECL (Education Community Liaisons) Officer is responsible for implementing Educational Projects and activities as well as ensuring community mobilization and resource management.
His/her role is to provide support, team management, capacity building and communication between the school administration and parents.

DUTIES:

  • Supervise and evaluate activities on the field
  • Plan and monitor all ECLs duties and activities
  • Maintain good relations with school directors and supervisors through regular visits
  • Help in preparing relevant documents (such as brochures, information notes, information board updates) for target communities
  • Organize and conduct the ECL group meetings and trainings on a monthly basis in collaboration with the project team and donor
  • Monitor tasks and referrals of the ECL’s
  • Participate in the planning of the education activities such as focus groups, awareness sessions, trainings, and others
  • Provide the Project Coordinator with timely (on a weekly/monthly basis) and detailed reports of project activities 
  • Participate in coordination meetings with national and international institutions and education working group where appropriate; Collaborate with partners and other agencies when required
  • Compile and analyze the outcome of the project monitoring and evaluation data
  • Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and planning for ongoing project’s activities
  • Contribute in field assessments and data collection when required
  • Conduct regular field visits in order to ensure that the project is being implemented effectively
  • Ensure that data is accurately collected on a daily/weekly and monthly basis from ECL’s groups
  • Monitor the execution of projects on the field and provide staff with the support and guidance to complete the assigned tasks
  • Receive and accompany donors during field visits

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft office – all applications
  • Software applications required for daily operations

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 3 to 6 years of experience preferably in Management/Community Mobilization
  • Experience with NGOs working with Refugees and education programs
  • Proven experience in managing a team
