Engineer Supervisor - Consultant

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Caritas Lebanon is seeking the services of a Consultant Engineer to supervise and monitor the rehabilitation works of the contractor assigned by CL in the rehabilitation of the Social Enterprise (Soup Kitchen – Dekwaneh).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

• The Engineer Supervisor will closely monitor the renovation works at the execution phase that are performed by the selected contracting company, including revision of technical documentation
• Coordinate with CL team and report to CL team when needed
• Ensure a fine quality control of the material to be used for the rehabilitation, in compliance with national and international standards for public facilities
• Chronological photo documentation
• Testing and Commissioning of each item
• Daily site visits and monthly reports
• Final Report

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in Engineering
• Relevant experience of at least 2 years
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to manage the works on site and deliver desired results
• Fluent in English and Arabic

CONTRACT PERIOD

The intended start date is June 1st, 2018. The consultant shall terminate the consultancy service within 3 months, by end of August.

CONDITIONS

• The consultant has to abide by the terms of the contract
• The consultant has to coordinate with Caritas Lebanon team throughout the phases of rehabilitation works, and has to inform on the progress of the work and the difficulties faced
• Any changes for any reason must go through formal channels of official correspondence
• The consultant will be assisted, and accompanied by Caritas Lebanon team, in particular the Field Officers and Engineers if needed
• The consultant has to respect deadlines
