Finance Officer

OBJECTIVE

The Finance Officer assists in maintaining a satisfactory system of Accounting Standards and accounting record-keeping and provide timely and accurate financial information

DUTIES

  • Responsible for the financial operations of the projects and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices
  • Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, monitor and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures
  • Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year
  • Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to donors
  • Control on all payments issued

Computer Skills

  • Fully competent and capable of applying Accounting software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

 

EDUCATION

BA in finance and/or accounting or higher Diploma

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 3 to 5 years financial accounting experience, preferably in a NGO environment
  • Exposure to donor accounting is an advantage
