Foreign Language Group Coordinator

Through community based approach (educational and outreaching activities), the Foreign Language Group (FLG) coordinator is responsible to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the FLG program within its time frame

DUTIES

  • Identify locations/venues where the foreign language groups will take place
  • Identify eligible students in the areas to register and attend the foreign language groups
  • Link up with ECLs and OVs to identify students who are mostly in need of language support
  • Coordinate with other CL staff on the field
  • Link mentors identified through universities to the groups of students registered for FLG
  • Coordinate between mentors and the host locations to ensure good time management
  • Introduce the mentor to the group and the host families
  • Keep record of attendance of students to the FLGs and flag any recurrent absence
  • Follow up on absent students and insure their commitment
  • Keep record of mentors’ presence and delivery of foreign language groups
  • Visit the groups and raise any issues/challenges identified to the concerned parties
  • Provide a regular feedback and reporting on the implementation of the project
  • On a regular basis, discuss academic progression of the students with parents and mentors
  • Provide guidance to mentors
  • Insure logistical needs (refreshment, stationary)
  • Prepare documents needed for the payment fees
  • Collect data related to the FLG students
  • Report on weekly and monthly basis on the activity and results to the Education coordinator
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the Education coordinator

ACADEMIC EDUCATION

BA in Administration/Education, Social studies or any other related field

2 to 5 years of experience in the field
