JOB SUMMARY
The GBV Case Worker is tasked with delivering timely, survivor-centered, and confidential case management services to individuals impacted by GBV. This role ensures that all actions are aligned with GBV guiding principles, while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Case Worker participates in regular capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality of services provided to survivors.
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
•Conduct safe and confidential assessments for GBV survivors using standardized tools; complete the social file and integrate all related information into the system.
•Develop, implement, and regularly review individual action plans tailored to each survivor’s specific needs.
•Ensure timely referrals to multi-sectoral services based on survivor consent and needs.
•Document all cases using GBVIMS tools, adhering to data protection and confidentiality standards.
•Respond to emergency cases and manage the 24-hour helpline.
•Monitor and follow up on cases to ensure survivors are receiving appropriate services and support.
•Maintain strong coordination with internal and external partners to ensure a survivor-centered holistic service delivery.
•Report to the case management supervisor for final approval of actions and decisions.
•Prepare monthly reports on the GBV cases and activities implemented.
•Work occasionally during weekends or after working hours for urgent cases, in coordination with the case management supervisor.
•Participate in case conferences, trainings and capacity-building workshops.
•Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures.
•Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance,discipline, etc.
•Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against anyshortfalls.
•Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager.
•Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor degree in Social Work.
•Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills.
•Related Work Experience:2 to 3 years of experience in related field.
•Language skills:English, Arabic and French.
•Computer Literacy:MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level.
