Information Management Officer

The information management officer will be responsible for the overall management of information and knowledge within the refugee program department and in coordination with other departments. This includes the development of knowledge and information management tools and processes, data collection, analysis and dissemination. Furthermore, the IM officer will provide technical support to the Program activities in relation with data management, surveys, mapping and other as required   Duties: Identify, develop and maintain proper data and information management systems for the basic assistance sector Act as focal point of CARITAS for data collection and management Regularly interact with team members of CARITAS to get key documents about projects Update the online library accordingly, ensuring data is stored and presented in a coherent and logical way Provide regular updates to the team members on new data collected/new features of the system Provide technical support to the team in relation with activities dealing with data collection and analysis Based on requests from team members, produce some reports about information collected/tools available, etc. Participate in regular team meetings and training programs related to the responsibility assigned Provide training to other staff members in matter of data collection and tools related to it Support the line manager with:   Reporting tasks   Meeting representation within and outside of the regional delegation   Being part of meetings (as invited) and workshops and report back on these venues for the purpose of sharing information   Facilitating group discussions and sharing exercises   Being part of planning meetings Prepare any logistics, administrative and financial documents to support the activities mentioned above Good knowledge in data management Skills in planning, organizing, supporting and facilitating workshops and training Good practical knowledge in software related to data and mapping Communication skills Report monthly, quarterly and annually on all activities performed   Skills: Proficient in English and Arabic Familiar with GIS concept Able to read and prepare mapping products
