Internship Description
Caritas Lebanon (CL) provides economic development, livelihoods, health and social care, education, service to refugees, emergency and crisis intervention, environmental supervision and protection of the needy, in coordination with the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops, dioceses, and priests.
Among other things, the Business Development, Quality and Impact Department leads on all CL’s proposals, conducts research and needs assessment to inform strategic priorities and programs design. In addition, the department is responsible for reviewing and editing all donors reports in coordination with relevant departments.
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Business Development, Quality and Impact Department, the Research, Reporting, and Proposal Development Assistant Intern, will provide support to the Business Development unit and its two business development coordinators.
Major Duties/ Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the different needs of vulnerable populations in Lebanon, with a focus on the organization's target beneficiaries and strategy
- Collect and analyze secondary data on the overall situation in Lebanon and other relevant information to support context analysis and project design
- Provide support in the development of concept notes and proposals, including drafting sections related to the context and needs analysis
- Assist in the coordination and follow-up of proposal development efforts across different departments within the organization
- Assist in maintaining a monthly report submission deadline calendar to track timely submission of donor reports
- Provide general administrative support to the proposal development team
- Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
Internship Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or related field
- Research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Capacity to work under pressure
- Willingness to learn new skills and/or approaches
