Lawyer

Job Summary: CLMC lawyers will insure the legality of counseling, lawsuits and investigations. They will exchange experience with others, attend the monthly meetings of UNHCR and the legal sub working group, send monthly reports to project coordinators and UNHCR, inscribe the outcome of the legal files, assist in residency renewal and work permit   Responsibilities: 1-      Insuring the legal counseling, legal lawsuits as well as different kind of investigation before the general security and other police office station. 2-      Sharing with other lawyers legal issues, experiences, difficulties, success and failures 3-      attending monthly meeting for protection working groups with UNHCR 4-      facilitating legal awareness sessions covering the rights and responsibilities for refugees in all CLMC’s centers 5-      Sending monthly reports to projects coordinators and UNHCR 6-      Highlight on succeeded judgments 7-      Reporting seminars outcome to caritas Lebanon migrant center 8-      Inscribe the outcome of each legal file on daily basis 9-      Collaborating with legal coordinator to insure a high performance and achieve objectives and targets 10-  Financial assistance with the residency and work permit fees   Skills and Competencies:  Belief in human rights Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team Strong understanding of International Human Rights, Refugee Law and Lebanese law Familiarity with the Lebanese legal community Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.
