Lawyer - North

JOB SUMMARY

The Lawyer provides legal assistance and representation to beneficiaries and supports the Legal Department in managing and following up on cases.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

- Coordinate directly with the head of the department to which they belong, and indirectly with the coordinator of the Legal Department.

- Coordinate with social workers regarding the cases under review and work on advancing the files as instructed by the coordinator.

- Receive case files.

- Welcome beneficiaries and provide them with excellent service.

- Follow up on case files and ensure that they progress efficiently and without delay, especially those pending before the courts.

- Inform the HOD of any updates or developments that may arise during the course of work.

- Record all case follow-ups and interactions in the CRM system.

- Prepare monthly or weekly reports on the cases under review, as requested by the coordinator.

- Attend meetings with the department coordinator to facilitate work and ensure the smooth processing of files.

- Prepare lists of lawsuits when necessary for submission to the competent authorities and provide legal consultations as needed.

- Carry out any other task requested by the Legal Department HOD to ensure proper workflow.

- Attend court hearings.

- Conduct awareness-raising campaigns.

- Prepare and sign expense lists to be submitted to the Finance Officer for approval.

- Be on call for the department’s hotline.

- Attend, on a rotating basis, meetings of the UNHCR when needed or requested by HOD.

- Ensure presence at field centers Beirut, BML, NORTH, BEKAA and receive cases there.

- Attend investigations before the General Security and Judicial Police.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

- Diploma in Law.

- 3 to 5 years of experience.

- Registered at Bar Assossiation.
