Nurse - Mobile Clinic

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing health care to the beneficiaries in the concerned villages.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES 

Operational Activities:

•Provide nursing care services to the beneficiaries

•Distribute the drugs to the beneficiaries as per the medical prescription

•Provide case management by being the contact person for beneficiaries

•Assess beneficiary’s need and facilitate referral to further assistance

•Assist the doctor during the medical consultations when he’s available

•Assess and refer patients for consultations with other services and health-care centers based on their healthcare needs

•Provide health education information to beneficiaries and families

•Provide awareness sessions to beneficiaries and families about health issues

•Organize awareness campaigns about disease management and prevention

•Document actions by filling forms, and follow up on reports and patient records

•Documents the care provided in patient medical record and keeping them updated

•Document, collect and manage data collection on the spot

•Performs timely Data entry

•Control the medical stock of the Mobile Clinique, and make sure that drugs and other medical supplies are available (drug stock management)

•Ensure that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained and ensure supply needs for the MMU operations

•Collaborate with the Mobile Clinic coordinator on a regular basis, and act actively with the project coordinator in order to meet project requirements

•Implements and strictly follows universal precautions for COVID 19 when performing duties (gloves, clothes, disposal of medical waste, hand washing procedures).

•Attend meetings with the management when required

•Communicate to the MC coordinator and Follow up the itinerary of the MC regarding any matter

•Build relations with the municipalities and NGOs’ in the covered area in order to facilitate and optimize the routing and visits of the MC

•Implement the appropriate measures and interventions in humanitarian emergencies (medical consultations, nursing care services, etc.)

•Conduct medical screening for the students according to pre-scheduled list of schools

•Ensure smooth running of medical programs

Generic Duties:

•Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures

•Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.

•Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls

•Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager

•Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Academic:

•Bachelor Science in Nursing

•License to practice

Other Qualifications:

•Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills

Related Work Experience: 

•2 to 3 years of experience in related field

Language skills:

•English and Arabic

Computer Literacy:

•MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
