JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing care and medicines in the pharmacy to the patients, assisting the head nurse and the physicians, as well as communicating with beneficiaries and their families.
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Welcome beneficiaries at the center
• Preserve patient(s) safety and security
• Take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, weight, hemogluco test, etc.
• Assist the physicians in their medical consultations if needed
• Provide nursing services and treatments
• Document actions by completing forms, reports and patient records in a timely manner, including maintaining a comprehensive health summary
• Communicate with secondary and tertiary providers to ensure the continuity of care
• Participate in training(s), orientation(s), competency assessment(s) of new trainees
• Act in a professional manner reflecting the mission of Caritas Lebanon Primary Health Care Center and demonstrate compliance with all policies and procedures
• Ensure that beneficiaries and their families are aware of the services offered in the center
• Check every regularly the temperature of the vaccines and insulin refrigerators as well as the temperature and humidity of the pharmacies and document them in their related records
• Participate in the preparation of the awareness sessions and any other campaign
• Participate in school visits and activities pertaining to the school health programs
• Proceed with data entry as assigned
• Control and maintain, in collaboration with the Head Nurse, the stock of the center, ensure that equipment and other supplies are in stock and declare all out of orders
• Assist the Head Nurse in elaborating pharmacy drug requests
Generic Duties
• Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
• Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
• Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
• Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in related field
- English and Arabic
- MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
