MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Opertional Responsibilities
Recess Supervisor
- Be aware of and implement all site playground rules and regulations.
- Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the school site discipline plan.
- Supervise and monitor students during assigned playground and/or activity supervision periods.
- Be aware of and enforce school safety standards at all times.
- Report any unsafe playground conditions, including equipment, to an administrator immediately.
- Assist students in resolving conflict and promote healthy interactions among students
- Maintain satisfactory attendance
Physical Education Teacher
- Set up equipment prior to class.
- Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Prepare and implement lessons plans, providing for appropriate learning experiences for each student.
- Participate in the monthly educational team meeting
- Participate in general staff meetings (3 times / year)
- Research, and order physical education and recess equipment.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate field day; develop activities; set up for activities.
- Monitor and evaluate student skill levels and outcomes.
- Meet and coordinate with specialists; adapt activities to students’ special needs; develop appropriate modifications for I.E.P
Skills Required
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directionsAbility to visually supervise students, assess situations for safety concerns
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decision regarding the safety of students
Ability to perform assigned duties and tasks with a minimum of direction
Ability to maintain effective public, student and co-worker relationships
Ability to physically move about the school building and playground as well as to work outside throughout the year in varying weather conditions
Ability to perform physical activities which may include frequent standing, walking, bending, and/or lifting
Generic Duties
- Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
- Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
- Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
- Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Academic:
Bachelor Degree
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate and inspire others
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, efficient task prioritization and time management
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with children with learning disabilities
- Good knowledge in inclusion and learning disabilities – types and needs
- Good understanding of English
Related Work Experience:
- 2 years of experience in related field
Language skills:
- French and Arabic
Computer Literacy:
- MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
- Lebanon
- Mount Lebanon
- Matn
- Dahr Es Souane (Matn)
