MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Duties
- Assess the level of psychomotor impairments/delay, difficulty and set accordingly an individualized Treatment Plan
- Conduct psychomotor therapy interventions to Syrian and Lebanese children/youth with special needs.
- Fill assessment and session record sheets upon each session.
- Fill discharge and end of treatment reports upon therapy completion
- Collaborate with parents through meetings in order to meet desired goals and to evaluate the child's current level, personal areas for development, and capacities.
- Undergo supervision and follow up session
- Report on the child’s evolution and progress to the inclusion officer as requested and develop discharge summaries
- Conduct awareness sessions with beneficiaries
- Work directly with the social worker to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home level
- Address needs and requests in a professional way
- Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
- Always respect a refusal of treatment
Generic Duties
- Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
- Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
- Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
- Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the Center Coordinator
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the director
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Academic:
Bachelor degree in psychomotor therapy
MA degree is a plus
Related Work Experience:
2 to 3 years of experience in a related field, Previous experience working with children in vulnerable populations is preferable
Computer Literacy:
MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
