Psychosocial Coordinator - Sinn El Fil

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Psychosocial Coordinator is directly responsible for the implementation of psychosocial projects and activities through coordination between psychologists and social workers in all regions.

DUTIES

  • Implement psychosocial projects and keep data records of the targets related to different projects
  • Monitor the progress of the activities
  • Attend sector coordination relevant meetings
  • Provide coordination between psychologists and social workers
  • Ensure a proper follow up on meetings with the psychologists and social workers when needed
  • Monitor all psychosocial activities and services
  • Provide PSS training to the staff
  • Provide psychological services for migrants and refugees
  • Provide direct psychosocial support and refer internally and externally as needed, respecting confidentiality and the right of the beneficiary
  • Administer and interpret a variety of psychological tests and assessment instruments
  • Provide support for disturbed individuals emotionally and mentally
  • Interface with families, treatment team members and case management
  • Conduct discussion group, focus group with individuals and families
  • Conduct awareness sessions with the beneficiaries
  • Work directly with the social worker to develop intervention plans and follow up at the home level
  • Respect beneficiary confidentiality
  • Address needs and requests in a professional way
  • Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
  • Always respect a refusal of treatment
  • Assess the HR needs of the unit and interview candidates in coordination with the HR Department
  • Handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes
  • Conduct and monitor employee performance review, and follow up on agreed action plans
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and partners
  • Adhere to all quality standards and procedures
  • Supervise and evaluate PSS activities on the field including: life skill trainings and recreational activities
  • Conduct impact evaluations on a quarterly basis
  • Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans for ongoing project for the PSS component
  • Develop and follow up on the implementation of the work plan related to PSS
  • Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection as required
  • Follow up on the recruitment of trainers and payment cycles
  • Collaborate with partners and other agencies when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • 7– 10 years of experience
  • Experience in the field of Psychology and vulnerability/disability
