OBJECTIVE
DUTIES:
- Understand Caritas’ mission and objectives and assist in planning and implementation of communication strategies and campaigns.
- Identify new communications opportunities
- Coordinate with donors and partners on visibility guidelines and products
- Liaise with internal departments and programs to develop and implement the visibility and communication plan
- Follow-up with suppliers on deliverables
- Assist and proofread press releases, brochures, and other communications materials
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of communications materials
- Collaborate in Caritas’ social media platforms and website content.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with different stakeholders
- Establishes and maintains regular relations with key local media contacts
- Maintaining close contact with key local and foreign media - actively promoting Caritas Lebanon content and facilitating media visits to projects
- Develop branding initiatives
- Assist in the development of communications calendar, liaising with staff and departments to ensure reports (annual report, etc.), publications (newsletter, monthly report, etc.), and other products are produced in a timely manner.
- Regularly visit projects in the field, to identify and generate media and communication plans
- Prepare background communication and promotional materials for briefings and visits of media or delegations. Assist in the planning, logistic and administrative arrangements for them as needed.1
