JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse provides basic medical assistance during the day in the safe shelter in addition to conducting awareness sessions on health topics.
DUTIES
• Develop a monthly plan with the tasks and proposed activities
• Provide Medical check-ups for residents and their children (nursing care, medications, medical counselling, …)
• Prepare a medical file for each resident and update the manager and the social worker for follow-up
• Prepare a monthly report on the medical follow-up
• Refer and accompany the patients to the hospital, and medical centers for medical follow up
• Coordinate the doctors’ visits from / to the shelter
• Screen the symptoms of any suspected disease upon arrival of the new residents, to ensure other residents’ safety and take the proper measures
• Follow up and coordinate with the doctors…
• Conduct monthly sessions on health topics
• Prepare materials for health awareness sessions according to the needs
• Hygiene inspection
• Prepare medicines, and request medicines from PHCCs and pharmacies, …
• Monitoring the pharmacy management, medications and oversight of all aspects pertaining to pharmaceuticals
• Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
• Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
• Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
• Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree in Nursing Sciences.
• Licensed Nurse.
• Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills
• Related Work Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in related field
• Language skills: English and Arabic, French is a plus
• Computer Literacy: MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
