General Skills
- Conduct full-fledged social assessment for Beneficiaries in households and community settings (candidate must have a driving license)
- Conduct internal/external referrals when needed (with respect to medical, basic needs, paramedical services, CP and SGBV CM services, etc.…)
- Formulate and conduct a social intervention plan
- Conduct proper case management with focus but not restricted to follow-up as per mental health professional’s recommendations.
- Maintain coordination with the clinical psychologist.
- Ability to effectively assess and support persons in crisis
- Build rapport with children and family members through continuous weekly visits
- Identify and refer persons in need of psychological support.
- Identify and mobilize resources at the level of the beneficiary/family/community
- Coordinate with the Mobile Medical Unit for mutual referrals
- Networking with governmental and non-governmental entities to enhance new referrals to the MMHU (Municipalities, local and international NGO’s, etc…)
- Other duties in relevance with scope of intervention and the social work.

- Cultural sensitivity
- Ability to adhere to ethical considerations and principles with regard to work with vulnerable populations
Computer Skills
- Basic Microsoft office and internet use
Language
- Fluency in Arabic and in English, French is a plus
Personal and Professional development of the Psychologist
Skilled in or willing to build their capacity and knowledge in:
- Developing family-centered, goal and strength focused, recovery-oriented care plan
- Mental health in complex emergencies (IASC guidelines, Psychological First Aid, mhGAP…)
- Biopsychosocial model in mental health
- Community-based approach in mental health
- Human rights-based approach in mental health
- Knowledge about the predictable stresses of humanitarian aid work and the policies and practices needed to mitigate them 9 Competencies
