Specialist Team Leader

Position Objective:

The Specialist Team Leader is directly responsible for the implementation of Child-Oriented projects in 7 schools in Beirut through coordination between psychologists and speech therapists.

Duties:

  • Support the 6 specialists on board (Speech and Psychotherapists) in the management of their therapy sessions
  • conduct case discussion meetings with both speech therapists and psychotherapists to monitor (use of tools, assessment done, working plan done
  • Follow up initiated, identify the progress, closure plan is done etc…), mitigate-advise when necessary and ensure the services are running properly
  • Ensure multidisciplinary team meetings are taking place with therapists, educational assistants, instructors
  • Address administrative, logistic challenges with the Project coordinator and School Principals
  • Collect weekly reports (quantitative data from specialists) that should take part in the monthly progress report that includes as well other topics related to coordination outcomes with internal and external entities/units
  • Ensure a reference role to the therapists, achieve external referrals and follow up when needed, example to PHCC psychomotor therapists or Psychiatrist
  • Ensure regular meeting with external service providers to make sure all service is delivered harmoniously
  • Provide a monthly progress report summarizing the reports of all therapist’s example of sessions: provided (with child, parents), number of sessions, segregated Beneficiaries data, number of multidisciplinary meetings, clinical trends and administrative challenges identified through meetings with specialists and school staff, mitigations applied
  • Ensure a regular communication with MEHE, receive referrals and involve the specialists in the service provision
  • Perform as a hub of referrals who will disseminate it to all specialists once shared by MEHE
  • Support therapists in their interaction with parents and school staff
  • Ensure awareness of the action plans drafted by both specialists and ensure its implementation by specialists, parents and instructors
  • Report to the line manager (weekly updates) and to the project coordinator
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 5– 10 years of experience
