Speech Therapist

The Speech therapist will provide assessment and treatment to students referred to her/him or identified by her/him.  Assessment and treatment will take place inside the 4 schools as per the agreement.   Duties: Provide diagnosis and treatment for students in need of speech therapy following the code of conduct of the profession Assist teachers, staff, and families in implementing effective strategies to facilitate the improvement of the students Monitor and effectively communicate with parents about student progress and help families understand their child's learning difficulties Always respect a refusal of treatment when applicable   Skills: Adaptation to specific working conditions Capacity to work in a team and autonomously Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team Capacity to work under high pressure Ability to maintain outstanding working relationships with external and internal sources Ability to show initiative and take responsibility Excellent oral and written communication skills Specialized understanding and scientific approach to human behavior, cognitive performance, mental illness and psychosocial problems Ability to engage in case formulation, treatment delivery and final outcome evaluation processes Strong communication and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
