Senior Project Officer (MEAL)

Job Responsibilities:

• Organize and lead the design and implementation of MEAL Systems throughout the project cycle in line with CRS MEAL Policies and Procedures, donor requirements, and good practices.
• Support program team and partners in compliance of agency and donor MEAL requirements.
• Contribute to oversight and guidance on quality data capture, input and management, qualitative and quantitative analysis, reflection and ongoing use of MEAL data results
• Ensure learning properly accompanies MEAL activities throughout the project cycle. Support accountability, including accountability to beneficiaries, through coordinating project evaluation activities and guiding partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences. 
• Lead analyses and reflective discussions on ongoing monitoring data to identify trends and findings
• Support and coordinate training events focusing on capacity building and technical support activities to both CRS programming staff and partners to ensure quality implementation of all MEAL activities.
• Foster respectful relationships with community members, stakeholders and partners by ensuring projects adhere to essential project management standards and accountability principles
• Promote honesty and integrity in all MEAL-related activities.

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in project support. Experience in the field of MEAL and project programming in an NGO preferred.
• Additional education may substitute for some experience.
• Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
• Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
• Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
