Research Assistant For Civic Engagement And Leadership For University Scholarship Program (Usp)

BASIC FUNCTION: He/She will support CCECS in meeting the Civic Engagement and Leadership (CEL) requirements of the USAID-AUB Award. This includes providing administrative support, coordinating and following-up on all activities related to: 1) Volunteer Rotations, 2) Internships, 3) Leadership Training, and 4) Community-Based Projects (CBP). In addition, he/she will maintain regular updates on all documentation and administrative tasks.   DUTIES PERFORMED: Performs administrative and office support activities for the CCECS office Provide students with volunteer opportunities on a regular basis by contacting CCECS’s network of NGOs and maintaining positive working relationship Organize logistics of volunteer activities, field trips, leadership trainings, informative sessions, CBP and major stakeholder events (i.e. venue booking, transportation, catering, materials) Collect, organize, and file student deliverables required for their portfolio, such as reflection reports, pre-post assessment tests Follow-up and ensure students meet deadlines and fulfill the Civic Engagement and Leadership requirements Follow-up and document the implementation of the CBP undertaken by groups of students (on-site visits, communication with key stakeholders, proper allocation of resources, objectives, supporting documents) Update CCECS website and other social media channels upon completion of activities, projects and events  Write monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with USAID-AUB guidelines Photo document student activities/projects/events and take minutes of meetings when needed Show flexibility to working hours on weekends and weekdays REQUIREMENTS: Excellent creative writing skills   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor degree in humanities, social sciences, international relations, or related fields  Work experience in civil society organizations and direct engagement with stakeholders Field experience in implementing community projects Experience in grant writing  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Dynamic personality and ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds and in diverse roles Well organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team Ability to cope and work under pressure Good time management and organizational skills Flexible to work on weekends Task and deadline oriented Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package
