Reporting to the Project Manager, the Finance, Administration and HR Coordinator will be hired for a temporary period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability. S/he will oversee field office accounting & finance, as well as human resources and administration. S/he will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of transactions and produce monthly office reports for HQ;
- Ensure compliance with HD standards, policies, procedures and internal controls;
- Review, monitor, follow-up on and ensure compliance with donor requirements;
- Support project budget forecasting; manage inventory and procurement;
- Manage office logistics and general administration in coordination with administrative staff;
- Prepare payroll for employees and and ensure fiscal compliance with local law;
- Review and approve requests for cash, check and transfer payments;
- Manage induction programs for new colleagues;
- Liaise with government agencies (tax/labour authorities, etc.), company auditors and HQ;
- Handle HR activities in coordination with HQ;
- Control and monitor budgets;
- Manage bank accounts, (including monthly cash counts and preparation of bank reconciliations), and direct the preparation of monthly cash forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance and administration;
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in a generalist function, including accounting, human resources, or logistics;
- Very good knowledge of Arabic and a strong command of written and spoken English are mandatory;
- Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations as well as of the ‘not-for-profit’ sector;
- Experience in payroll processing would be considered an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Personality: The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. S/he should also be flexible and service-oriented. S/he should have well-developed organisational skills, be detail oriented, and be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
S/he should be a team player, with the ability to work independently.
